iPhone 16 just tipped for price hike 2023

LET'S START

This year, there was a lot of discussion regarding a potential iPhone 15 Pro price increase, particularly in light of claims that the most recent iPhones were substantially more expensive to make.

While consumers avoided excessive price rises, we might not be as fortunate with the iPhone 16. And the iPhone 15 might be entirely to blame.

Nikkei Asia claims that the cost of creating an iPhone 15 Pro Max increased by 12%, or $558, as a result of record-high component pricing.

Tetra-prism telephoto cameras reportedly cost $30 on their own, but the new titanium frame cost $50, which is 43% more expensive than stainless steel.

The A17 Pro chipset, which costs $130 more than the A16 Bionic, is 27% more expensive.

The closest we got to an actual price increase was Apple scrapping the 128GB iPhone 15 Pro Max. Instead the phone’s base model came with 256GB, and cost the same $1,199 as the 256GB iPhone 14 Pro Max model.

Over 50% of Apple's income in 2022 will come from its flagship product, the iPhone.

Continual decreases in the revenue they generate are ultimately detrimental to Apple's profits. Therefore, if things continue as they have been, those prices will need to increase. And if this rumor is to be believed, it might occur as early as 2024.

However, given the volume of rumors indicating a $100–200 price increase for the iPhone 15 Pro series this year, it's likely that a price increase will occur sooner than we'd like.
